Prompt for one of my intermedia projects in college was “America’s Most Wanted".” We could choose to do whatever we wanted with that prompt, no rules.
solution
“America’s Most Wanted: FAME” focusing on America’s obsession with the famous and the ramifications of that fame on the artists.
Create a video installation focusing primarily on Amy Winehouse, Marilyn Monroe, and Lady Gaga, all of whom who have been impacted by mass fame.
RESULTS
Created a video to be projected on three walls in a gallery space using found footage from the artists videos and news clips.
The viewer walked into the darkened gallery, sat down on the designated spot in the center, and gazed up as the video engulfed them.
Placed a 360 camera in the spot to recreate the experience in Virtual Reality. To view the 360 experience, click here.
